Etebo, Ezekiel Can’t Prevent Las Palmas Defeat; Ideye Starts As Malaga Are Relegated

Oghenekaro Etebo made his 10th LaLiga start for Las Palmas who lost 1-0 to Real Betis on Thursday, reports
Junior Firpo scored in stoppage time for Real Betis to move up to fifth in the Spanish LaLiga with 55 points from 33 games.
Nigerian forward Imoh Ezekiel replaced Nacho Gil in the 84th minute.
Ezekiel made his sixth appearance for Las Palmas. He is yet to score a goal since he arrived at the club on a free transfer in February.
At the Estadi Ciutat de València, in Spain, Brown Ideye made his ninth start for Malaga who lost 1-0 to Levante and got relegated. Emmanuel Boateng’s stoppage time goal condemned Malaga to relegation.
Malaga are bottom of the table with 17 points from 33 matches, 17 points from safety with five matches to go, therefore their relegation was confirmed on Thursday night.
Ideye had a great chance to score the opener in the 19th minute but his header was saved by Oier Olazabal.
The Nigerian international was replaced in the 83rd minute by Borja Baston. 
Ideye has scored once for Malaga since he joined them on loan from Tianjin TEDA.
His compatriot Isaac Success was not listed in the matchday squad for the game.
