suspected cultists shoot 3 students of Osun college

Fear and apprehension have gripped students of Osun State College of Health and Technology, Ilesa, following the shooting of three students by suspected cultists.

Suspected cultists during a clash had shot the students on Sunday night at Amuta junction on Sunday,where the students were charging their phones.

It was gathered that a male and two female students were involved in the incident that threw the community into panic.

It was gathered that the three students were hit by bullets and they were seriously injured.

“The students sustained a high degree of bullet injury and the victims have been rushed to Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo, by the Amuta community, which the students were later referred to OAU Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife,” sources said.

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), in the state, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident.

She said security operatives have launched investigations to unravel the causes of the incident and ensure that the criminals are brought to book.
