15 soldiers were shot dead and many others injured when bandits attacked their camp at Kampanin Doko village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The hoodlums were on a revenge mission to avenge the killing of their leader, Buharin Daji by Soldiers in Zamfara state ,two weeks ago.
Cornerstone News gathered that the army had arrested the leader of the gang after a thorough screening in zamfara State.
They a handed the thief to another group of soldiers on special duty and there was argument and the suspect went wild and he was shot.
Following the fracas,his members came on arevenge mission to avenge the death of their leader.
The hoodlums numbering about 130 on motorcycles also ,shot at random, killing many soldiers and injuring many others
An Army Major said :”I have seen 11 corpses on the ground.
Many were injured .We can’t fold our arms.
We are waiting for directive from the Defense Headquarters to know the next level.But ,I want to assure you that our colleagues can not die in vain,we shall fish out those who carried the war to our door step.They must pay for it”.
