18 year-old Hudson-Odoi becomes Chelsea’s 5th highest paid player

Chelsea finally got their man! Callum Hudson-Odoi penned a five-year deal to remain at the Bridge, ending speculations he could leave the club; with his initial contract set to end by the end of the current season.

Hudson-Odoi’s new deal will also seem him get a pay rise from £10,000 to £120,000 per week and it makes him joint-fifth highest earning player at the club.

The winger has been out of action in the first team, for five months, after he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon in a PL game against Burnley.

Chelsea announced the deal on Thursday, praising the young England international, while highlighting his achievement with the team last season.

Speaking after penning the deal, Hudson-Odoi said, ‘It’s an amazing feeling.

‘It’s been a long wait but it’s done now and I’m really happy about that. I’ve been a Chelsea player since I was eight and this is the right club for me to be at.

‘I want to lift as many trophies as possible, win as many games as possible and contribute to as many goals as I can as well.

‘As a team, we just want to work hard to achieve the best results we can. I’m delighted everything has been agreed and now I’m just looking forward to properly getting back.’
