Two persons have been beheaded by gunmen suspected to be members of a notorious cult group in Choba community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
This happened barely two days after residents of the area raised the alarm over increased killings and other criminal activities.
It was gathered that the headless bodies of the victims, who were yet to be identified as at the time of filing the report, were found around Ogor Street, along Igbogo road, in the area.
Their decapitated heads were discovered around SDA Junction along Choba-NTA Road in the local government
The youth chairman of Choba community, Francis Ihunda, who confirmed the incident to journalists, said Choba people woke up yesterday morning two bodiless heads at a junction.
He said it was difficult for the people to identify the victims since their bodies were different from the heads and at different locations.
The bodies were later taken away by the Police.
