It was a gory sight to behold Wednesday evening in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, as two suspected armed robbers were roasted by irate youths.
The suspects were overpowered by the youths after they failed in their attempt to allegedly snatch a car.
The incident occurred by the fence of the Oyo State Government Secretariat in the evening.
An eyewitness said that one of the suspects, having failed in their mission to snatch the car, attempted to run away.
One of them was hit by another car on motion and he reportedly died on the spot. The second suspect was apprehended and the angry youths roasted the suspects with used tires.
It was gathered that the suspects attacked a moving Toyota car, at a spot on Queen Elizabeth Road, which starts from Mokola Roundabouts in Ibadan and ends at Total Garden.
The suspects were said to have taken to their heels and they were caught on Parliament Road by commercial motorcyclists that pursued them.
As at the time of filing this report, the charred remains were still at the scene of the incident.
