2019 Ogunjobi Gold Cup: Sunshine Stars Zooms Into The Final With Niger Tornadoes

Sunshine Stars FC of Akure are through to the final of the ongoing 2019 Taiwo Ogunjobi Gold Cup Tourney in Ilorin.

The Akure Arsenal defeated Kwara United 3-2 on penalty after the game ended in a 1-1 draw and will now face  Niger Tornadoes FC in the final.

 

Former Akwa United goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke was the hero , as she saved two penalties in the shootout to help his team reach the final of the prestigious pre season torney.

 

Jamiu Alimi put Sunshine Stars ahead earlier in the game , but that advantage was cancelled out by Thomas Adesina to forced the game beyond the 90 minutes.

 

Both side was unable to find the winner in front of the thousands of fans at the Ilorin Township Stadium who witnessed the best of Nigerian Football on the night.

 

Sunshine Stars will now take on another Nigeria National League side Niger Tornadoes in the final.
