5 Reasons to Wait for the Pixel 3 & 4 Reasons Not To

5 Reasons to Wait for the Pixel 3 & 4 Reasons Not To is a post by Adam Mills from Gotta Be Mobile.

Google is reportedly working on a new Pixel 3 and this guide will take you through some reasons why you should, and maybe shouldn’t, wait for the company’s new flagship to arrive.

If you’re hunting for your next smartphone Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL should be near the top of your list. The company’s flagships are two of the best phones on the market and they’re worth a look if you’re thinking about going with an Android phone over Apple’s iPhone.

You’ll also want to dig into other alternatives like the OnePlus 6, Huawei’s P20, the Samsung Galaxy S9, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and LG’s G7 before you commit to your next phone. You’ll also want to dig into the phones rumored to be coming in 2018.

The current list includes Apple’s iPhone 11, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and the devices that will reportedly replace the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL later this year.

Google Pixel 3 Rumors

The Pixel 3 rumor mill started churning at the end of last year thanks to a report from Droid-Life that outed potential codenames for the upcoming devices.

According to the report, one of the rumored Pixel 3 models is codenamed “crosshatch” while the others are potentially codenamed “albacore” and “blueline.”

More recently, an employee working on the Android Open Source Project referenced the name “Pixel 3.” The reference was spotted by XDA-Developers and it hints at improved networking.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, Google’s Pixel 3 will be a lot like the Pixel 2, but will include an updated rear camera. The Pixel 3 XL will reportedly feature dual front-facing cameras. Both devices will evidently be exclusive to Verizon in the United States.

Google’s two 2018 flagships will reportedly be joined by a third device, a budget Pixel phone for emerging markets.

A report from the Economic Times claims that Google plans to launch the budget model this summer ahead of the iPhone 11 launch in September.

With Pixel 3 rumors picking up speed, those of you in the market for a new phone have a decision to make: Wait for the Pixel 3 or go with another device.

If you find yourself struggling with this decision, allow us to walk you through some reasons to, and not to, wait for Google’s rumored Pixel 3.
