Lagos State Police Command has arrested four of its personel for extortion .
The Policemen were attached to Maroko Police Station .
The State police Spokesman, CSP Adkunle Ajisebutu in a Statement said:” The attention of the command been drawn to a video going viral on social media exposing some Police officers in Maroko Police Division extorting money from a citizen.
“Peeved by the unprofessional conduct of the officers as captured/revealed in the video, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, directed that the erring police officers should be identified and arrested immediately.
“In compliance with the directive, therefore, all the four police officers have been arrested and detained. They are currently facing disciplinary actions.
“While condemning this inglorious act , the Commissioner of Police vows to deal decisively with any police officer found acting in such or other unprofessional manner in the Command”.
