Abraham And Tomori To Start For Chelsea Against Leon Balogun’s Brighton

Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have been named in Chelsea’s squad that will take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.

The duo are currently enjoying a good run in the first team this season and will be delighted to keep their place in the starting eleven for the weekend’s cracker against struggling visitors at the Stanford bridge.

 

Chelsea lost 2-1 to Liverpool last weekend and will be looking for the perfect response when they host the Seagulls who will be without another Nigerian Leon Balogun.

 

 

Fresh from their 7-1 thrashing of League Two side Grimsby Town 7-1 in the Carabao Cup, Frank Lampard who’s still awaiting his first home league win as a manager will be banking on his young squad led by Abraham and Tomori to sustain their form.

 

Abraham and Tomori are enjoying rave reviews after their impressive display for the Blues this season and the duo will be eyeing another impressive outing in front of their own crowd.

 

While Abraham will be aiming to add to his seven league goals, Tomori will be marshalling the defence alongside Kurt Zouma, Cesar Azplicueta and Marcus Alonso.

 

On the other hand, Leon Balogun won’t be in Brighton’s squad for the crunch game, no thanks to injury.

 

The former Mainz 05 defender who is yet to taste action in the premier league this season, has been out of action for the past four weeks.

 

Brighton occupies 15th position on the log and are winless in the league since their opening day 3-0  triumph of Watford at Vicarage Road in August, While Chelsea is 11th with 8 eight points after 6 matches played.
