Abraham Equals Lampard’s Chelsea Record

Nigerian born English striker Tammy Abraham on Saturday became the first Englishman to score twice in a successive game Chelsea games since boss Frank Lampard in 2010.

The 21-year-old striker scored two goals for the Chelsea in their 2-2 draw with Sheffield United at Stanford bridge.

Abraham was also on target for the Blues in their 3-2 win over in-form Norwich City in their week three clash away from home.

The last English born player to have scored twice in successions for the  Stamford Bridge outfit is current boss Lampard who did so in 2010.

Meanwhile, Abraham will be delighted with his new form for the Club, having struggled to stamp his authority in the team full of experienced internationals.

The 21-year-old who has scored four goals in four the league appearances for the Blues was omitted from the English national team squad for their next weekend Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kosovo.
