ADO Den Haag Confirm Ebuehi Has Groin Injury, Recovery Time Unknown

By Adeboye Amosu:
Dutch club ADO Den Haag have confirmed Nigeria defender Tyronne Ebuehi  picked up a groin injury in last weekend’s Eredivisie clash against NAC Breda, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
Ebuehi was replaced as a result of the injury with Thijmen Gopel in the 67th minute of the encounter at their home ground Cars Jeans Stadion as they lost 2-0.
The club however failed to specify how long the 22-year-old will be out of  action.
“Three of our defenders sustained injuries in the  home match against NAC Breda last Saturday: Tom Beugelsdijk, Tyronne Ebuehi and Wilfried Kanon. Beugelsdijk has a hamstring injury, while Ebuehi and Kanon have groin problems,” a statement on ADO Den Haag official website on Tuesday confirmed.
“Beugelsdijk has already been subjected to an MRI scan and has been told that he has a tear in his hamstring. The central defender is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.
“Ebuehi and Kanon had problems in the  groin area, but it is not yet known how long their recovery will last. Kanon will not play against Excelsior this weekend due to the  red card he received against NAC anyway.”
There are fears Ebuehi who is among the 28 players listed by Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr for this month’s friendly matches against Poland and Serbia will not be able to honour the invitation.
Ebuehi who is expected to link up with Portuguese giants Benfica this summer has featured in 26 league games for ADO Den Haag this season.
