Ado Den Haag Eager To Get Replacement For Wantaway Defender Ebuehi

By David Meshioye:

Dutch Eredivisie club, Ado Den Haag, are preparing for life without their Nigerian right-full-back, Tyronne Ebuehi, and are keen to get a right replacement in the summer,  Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Dutch website, Omroepwest.nl, reported on Thursday that Den Haag manager,  Alfons Groenendijk, has opted for Excelsior FC right-full-back, Khalid Karami, as the best choice to step into Ebuehi’s shoes in the summer.

Only recently, Omroepwest.nl confirmed that the Nigeria international penned a five-year deal with Benfica after the he failed to extend his contract with Ado Den Haag.

Karami’s contract ends in the summer and coach Alfons would be looking forward to adding the Excelsior FC defender to the Green and Yellow side. The 28-year-old right back debuted in 2011 in professional football, with Go Ahead Eagles for two seasons before he joined Excelsior.

Ebuehi turned out be an integral part of Ado Den Haag, having featured in 27 matches this season with two assists.  His fine tackles and dribbling runs on the flanks earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles.

The 22 year old defender is an option available to Rohr for Nigeria 22-man World Cup squad but It remains to be seen how his Benfica deal pens out after the Mundial.
