AFCON 2021 Qualifiers: Benin Republic will not be pushovers – Adjouma

A member of the media team of Benin Football Federation, Mr. Bienvenue Adjouma while giving his thoughts on the chances of Benin qualifying for the 2021 AFCON tournament in an exclusive chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comwas confident that the Squirrels will get wins over Lesotho and Sierra Leone. 

Nigeria is drawn in Group L of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers alongside Sierra Leone, Lesotho and Benin Republic.
The AFCON draws which were handled by the CAF Deputy General Secretary of Football and Development, Anthony Baffoe was assisted by Algerian football great, Rabah Madjer, Eto’o, and Nigeria’s Kanu.
Ajumma made reference to the 2008 AFCON tournament in Morocco when Benin was drawn alongside Nigeria and how well Benin stood up against the Super Eagles while adding that although it will be a tough call against Nigeria, Benin will not play as pushovers.
“You know in Africa, Benin will win Sierra Leone and Lesotho but our problem now is Nigeria. We know Nigeria is a good team and a big team. I believe we will put up a good fight, who says we can’t put up a good fight? We can qualify”
