Ahmedu urge home based players to be challenged by Murjanatu’s national team invitation

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s women national team and coach of Dolphins women basketball club Peter Ahmedu has called on domestic league players to take up the challenge of raising their game and believe that they can also earn national team call by proving themselves worthy of such calls even as league players based in Nigeria.

Ahmedu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the invitation of the league’s most valuable player should also motivate many to continue to give their best when in action while commending the Air warriors player for putting up a performance that can’t be ignored in the course of the domestic league season.
“Her invitation to the national team is a big plus to the home-based players, we believe that her presence there will motivate most of the home-based players and let them know that hard work pays.
It shows that you don’t have to be a foreigner or player based abroad before you can actually play for the national team. She has actually shown the ability and during the league proper she was the MVP of the  championship.”
