Akinwumi backs Eagles AFCON quest

First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation Barrister Seyi Akinwumi has backed the ability of Nigeria senior national team to go all the way to lift the cup at the fast approaching AFCON next month in Egypt. 

Akinwumi speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Football Federation hopes to see the team triumph and bring the glory back to Nigeria.
He said striving to win the AFCON is an intention that can be nurtured and believes the team have the requisites talents to compete for the title.
“It’s an intention, it’s a plan and it’s an aspiration. We are aspiring to be the best and there is nothing wrong with that.
We will do what we should do and the boys are talented enough to win the cup. So why not they are eleven players against eleven.”
He added that the NFF will do all it has to do to motivate the players to excel.
