Akwa United part ways with nine players, to name new manager on Monday

The Management of Akwa United FC have released nine players who failed to meet the required standard, As the Club Step up preparation  2018-2019 NPFL Season.

The promise keepers who are yet to name new manager after Abdul Maikaba’s decision to join Plateau United, Said the players were released because they failed to justify their place in the team and the state government wants a better outing from the team next season.

 

“We are already taking steps to see positive changes in the team ahead of next season and the first move is to weed out the unproductive players from the team for fresh legs to come in,” he said.

 

Furthermore. Chairman of the Club Elder Paul Bassey, said new manager will be announced on Monday.

 

Meanwhile, Reports has linked former FC Ifeayin Ubah Brazilian Raphael Everton, former Sunshine Stars coach  Duke Udi and 2017 NPFL winning coach Kennedy Boboye with the position vacated by  Abdul Maikaba.
