The management of Akwa United, are leaving no stone unturned in order to get the team ready for the coming NPFL season as will they play two exhibition games in Port Harcourt this weekend.
The Promise Keepers will trade tackles with fellow NPFL side Go Round FC of Omoku on Friday afternoon by 4pm in Port Harcourt before clashing with Rivers United in on Saturday.
The warm up games will be the 2017 Aiteo Cup Champion’s fourth and fifth pre-season games since Coach Rafael Everton took over the team from Abdul Maikaba in early November.
The Uyo based team have recorded two wins in the last three pre season matches, including a lost 1-0 to Heartland FC in Owerri and victories over Abia Warriors and Rivers United.
