Anderlecht submits $5m bid for Onuachu

RSC Anderlecht have reportedly submitted a $5m bid to FC Midtjylland to bring Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu to Belgium.

Onuachu has been a long-time admirer of the Belgian champions with the Limburgers making an initial offer of five million euros which was however rejected by FC Midtjylland who value the 2019 AFCON bronze medalist at a higher price.

The news, however, put Anderlecht in red alert and they are now ready to hijack the deal to land the Nigerian following the injury suffered to Belgian forward Landry Dimata who recently made his loan move from Wolfsburg a permanent one.

According to reports from B.T Sports in Denmark, Anderlecht has now identified the Nigerian striker as their main target and would look to offload the duo of Ivan Santini and Isaac Thelin to fund the purchase of the lanky Nigerian.

Onuachu, 25, scored 22 goals in all competitions for FC Midtjylland last season before representing Nigeria at the 2019 AFCON where he featured in three games to help Nigeria clinch a record 8th bronze medal.
