Mikel Obi equalled his best ever goal record in English football on Sunday when he scored Middlesbrough second goal in a 2-1 win over Rotherham in a EFL Championship fixture.
Mikel netted in the 37th minute, his first goal for Middlesbrough since joining Tony Pulis’ men.
The goal was his second ever in English league football after 267 appearances – for both Chelsea and Boro – his first coming against Fulham, 5 years ago.

However, the victory couldn’t lift Boro into the playoff spot as they ended the season a point behind Derby County, in seventh spot.
