Former Lobi Stars forward Anthony Okpotu is set for his league debut for new club Diffa El’ Jadida after an injury layoff which has kept him out for the last four months according to AOIfootball.
Okpotu joined Diffa in July from Lobi Stars but has only made two appearances in the CAF Champions League, confirmed that he is now fully fit to return to action.
“Yes, I’m back to full fitness. I have been training well and should be in action next Sunday. It’s been a tough phase for me but I’m happy that I can finally return to play for the team.
“We have a game against Mouloudia Oujda on Sunday so hopefully, I will be able to play and show the fans what they have been missing,” Okpotu said.
The 24-year-old rose to prominence when he won the 2017 golden boot with Lobi Stars and led the Eagles to the final of the 2018 CHAN where they lost to Morocco in the final.
