Awoniyi’s first KAA Gent goal qualifies Club for Europa League playoffs

Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi scored his first goal for Belgian club KAA Gent to beat Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok 3-1 at home on Thursday night.

 

The Liverpool-loanee Awoniyi hit the target on the 13th minute of the encounter.

 

Meanwhile, Isreali champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva, who have both John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme in their line up were eliminated by Apoel.

 

Apoel won the home game 3-1 to go through 5-3 on aggregate.
