Brazil Game Will Reveal Super Eagles Progress – Rohr

Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr believes the friendly game with Brazil will show how far his team has developed since coming third in Summer’s 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

 

The three-time African champions will take the Selecao at the Kallang National Stadium in Singapore on Sunday, as part of their preparations towards forthcoming 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with Squirrels of Benin Republic.

 

 

Rohr is in the final stage if his three years contract with Nigeria Football Federation said he likes how the team has taken shape since the this year’s AFCON, he added that the game with Brazil will give him and his boys opportunities to learn new things.

 

 

 

“The game against Brazil will show how much we are progressing after finishing third at the Africa Cup in Egypt,” Rohr said.

 

“It is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn a few more things that will make us better and stronger for future challenges.”

 

“This is an important test game for us, and we are here to learn from the best. We hope for a very good game against Brazil on Sunday.

 

“This will help us prepare ourselves for the 2021 Afcon qualifiers against the Benin Republic and Lesotho next month.”

 

The Franco-German tactician also admitted that a good showing against the five-time world champions will help the team’s confidence.

 

“We saw a little bit in our friendly against Ukraine last month and hope we can improve on that performance tomorrow.”

 

“A good showing against Brazil will help our confidence a great deal.”

 

The match between Nigeria and  Brazil will hold this Sunday at the Kallang National Stadium in Singapore at 1pm Nigerian time.
