Brighton in battle with Crystal Palace and Fulham to sign Super Eagles defender

Premier League Outfit Brighton is interested in the services of Nigerian left-back Zaidu Sanusi, who plays for FC Porto of Portugal.

The Super Eagles defender has three-year on his current deal at Dragao but could move if the Seagulls meet Porto’s asking price.

The left-back appeared 40 times in all competitions and scored three goals for Dragões last season.

The 25-year-old, also excelled in the Champions League last season as Porto reached knocked out phase for the second successive season.

Sanusi, who has played 30 times for Nigeria is represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes and a deal will depend on Cucurella’s expected move to Manchester City.

The Nigerian is valued at £20m and Brighton & Hove Albion will have to fend off stiff competition from fierce rivals Crystal Palace to land Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi.
