By Adeboye Amosu: Algerian club USM Alger will arrive in Lagos on Thursday for Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup play-off round, first leg fixture against Nigerian champions, Plateau United, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The encounter will take at the ‘Soccer Temple’ Agege Stadium. Kick-off is 4pm Nigerian time.
“The Red and Black delegation will travel to Nigeria on Wednesday (April 4th) to face the Plateau United team in a CAF Confederation Cup play-off round, first leg tie,” read a statement on the club’s official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
“The Usmistes will take the flight from 15:00 and will pass through Casablanca, before arriving in Lagos on Thursday at 03:05.
“The return flight is scheduled for Sunday, April 08 at 06:05, the arrival in Algiers is scheduled at 13:40.”
USM defeated AS Maniema of Congo Democratic Republic in the first round to get to this stage of the competition.
Plateau United on the other hand were eliminated from the CAF Champions League 4-3 on aggregate by Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel.
The winner of the two-legged tie will proceed to the group stages of the competition.
