Championship Year, Negative Coaching, Self doubt – Nigeria’s rising star shares 2018 experience

2018 Women’s Premier Basketball League champions Tobi Ogedengbe says she endured a difficult year, despite the success, but insists she’s not quitting.

Tobi won her first league championship with the Elephant girls but told brila.net she went through torrid times with the Coaches, who wore players in a one-sided shouting bout.

The center barely played 10 minutes in the final against Dolphins, a result of the spat with the Coaches she insists she’d rather like to forget.

With the team already back in practice ahead of the new season, Tobi said she’s determined to grow into a better player, improve her game and win more laurels with the team.
