Super Eagles youngster Samuel Chukwueze has stated that his Spanish La Liga side must be perfect in order to get the maximum points in Thursday’s Europa league clash with Rangers.
Steven Gerrard’s side had gone 11 matches without defeat in European competition this term before being beaten 4-3 by Spartak Moscow in the Russian capital earlier this month.
It was a particularly painful defeat for the Gers, for they had led on no fewer than three occasions and were denied a point in stoppage time by the woodwork.
According to AOIFootball, the 19-year-old winger said that they are well geared up for the encounter, even though it would be a tough one.
“Yes, we know what is involved. They came to our home and played a draw. I always remember the match because that was my debut match with the first team. So we will be looking for maximum points when we face them on Thursday.
“The group is still very open and we just want to focus on winning our match against them, so I believe we can play well and win,” Chukwueze said.
The former U-17 World Cup winner further revealed that he’s very comfortable playing from the right which allows him to have the freedom to roam the pitch and shoot with his left foot.
