Air warriors women basketball forward Clementina Clement has stated that she and her teammates are ready to push hard and are not alarmed by possible group opponents at the 2019 FIBA Women Africa Club championship in Egypt.
In a chat with brila.net, Clementina said the motivation to become African champions after winning the Nigeria’s Womens league has driven their preparation.
“We are pushing very hard it’s quite tough because we just had few days off after winning the league, we have been in camp diddn’t even go see our family, we just want to keep that winning fire burning hence we have been pushing hard in camp”
Clementina also added she is not bothered by the experienced teams they will face at the continental championship “I dont have any team in mind, if I put my mind that I want to avoid a particular team it will affect my focus, so any team we get we take all of them seriously like champions and play our game.”
The 2019 women’s basketball league champion also revealed her ambition to play in the national team but will patiently wait for her time “I’ll let my game speak for me, If i’m invited fine, if not I’ll keep pushing until I get the call, everybody has his time to make the national team, When it’s my time nothing will stop it.”
