The Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has ordered the immediate closure of Asaba International Airport.
The governor after a crucial meeting with stakeholders on security ordered that the airport should be closed down by 6 pm.
Dr Okowa also said by next week ,there would be a total lockdown in the state to avoid the spread of Coronavirus.
Also, he said everyone should remain home while business centers should close shops.
He said that those who deal with essential commodities, hospitals, Pharmacy stores, and food and water sellers should be allowed to operate according to laid down rules.
