in a statement jointly signed by CRAN president, Mr. Odita Sunday and Secretary, Chiemelie Ezeobi, they stated that:” While we express shock at his abrupt demise, we take solace in the saying “God giveth and He taketh” and also in the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation, given the torrents of condolence from Nigeria and worldwide.

“The late King, was one of the top-notch supporters of the brand CRAN, especially during our annual award/seminar, which he financially supported regularly.

“If it was possible to avert this tragedy, CRAN and thousands of people he mentored and inspired across the world would have done so readily, but since the power of life and death resides with the Almighty God, we take solace in the belief that he left at God’s appointed time for him.

“The late Ubong King was a great man by all ramifications. Born on August 23, 1972, the business consultant, security expert, and motivational speaker was also the president of the Ubong King Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization targeted at training young people towards leadership.

“Mr. Ubong Thompson King was the President of The Ubong King Foundation and convener of the biggest youth empowerment conference in Africa, Thinkation.

“Prior to his foray into full-time youth development and mentorship, Ubong King distinguished himself in the area of Corporate Performance, Visionary Leadership, Global Competitiveness, Innovation, and Social Responsibility as the Chief Executive Officer, Protection Plus Securities Limited.

“Therefore, with his abrupt demise, which is a great loss not only to the King family but to the entire country, we pray Almighty God to grant his soul eternal rest and give the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss”.
