Crotone and Super Eagles forward, Simeon Nwankwo has called on his colleagues to handle Saturday’s AFCON qualifier against Libya with all focus and seriousness.
Speaking with brila.net’s Yinka Oyedele ahead of the clash from his base in Italy, the 26-year-old forward said that he believes the Super Eagles have the quality to overcome the Libyans.
Simy has backed the Super Eagles to strive to take the two games coming against Libya to establish a good lead and ease Nigeria’s qualification campaign for the 2019 AFCON.
The Italy-based forward who was part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia urged the team to be this focused notwithstanding the enormity of the task.
Nwankwo is believed to have been dropped from the set up to execute the doubleheader Libyan ties due to the resurgence form of Watford’s striker, Isaac Success.
The Super Eagles led by Coach Gernot Rohr and Stand-in Skipper Ahmed Musa will on Saturday take on their opponents from Libya before facing them three days later in Tunisia.
