A traditional ruler of Elibrada community, in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Oha Augustine Amadionu was on Monday night shot dead by gunmen who also beheaded two other persons.
It was gathered that the gunmen suspected to be cult members shot Amadionu several times before he gave up the ghost in his palace, the two other victims were shot and beheaded by the cultists.
The source, who pleaded anonymity said that the killings caused serious panic in the area, forcing some residents to desert the community.
The source said: “Cult boys stormed our community Monday night and shot dead our royal highness. The boys also killed two other people, Wayagbo and another person who has not been identified. The cult group removed severed their heads from their bodies.
“At this moment there is palpable fear and apprehension as people have started fleeing the community while those who have alternative living in fear”.
