Dannaz Football Club: A Club That Will Make A Difference In Nigerian Football And The World

“There is no secret behind this club. Growing up I usually run from school to go play football and I used to chop a lot of beating for it, but I was able to balance both playing football and going to school,” said the chairman of Dannaz Football
Club, Danny Nazzal to Sports247.

Dannaz Football Club is a grassroots team in Lagos that is keen on making a difference in Nigerian football and reach European standards. With age-grade teams such as U17, 19, and 20, female teams as well as male teams participating in various competitions, the club is well en route to achieving its mission.

“We have an academy and a female team as well with about a hundred kids in the academy within the ages 3-16. We also have all other categories from U17-U20 with our oldest player being 23 years old. Our female team will be playing in the National League this year and the energy comes between shuffling football and business,” the chairman said.

The Chairman of the club, Danny Nazzal, is a man with some experience in playing professional football in Lebanon, picked up an injury and went into coaching and is certified with other certificates in Sports Science, Sports Management and many more and this goes to show how much passion he has and is willing to put into the blossoming of this team.

“I love the game and it’s my happy place. I’m trying to build a professional club, a club that will make a difference, a club that will be of European standards, and based on that we have to put in the hard work and consistency since we already have the passion in place,” Danny said.

Currently, Dannaz FC senior team currently gained promotion into the Nationwide League One Division Two after first winning their Ikeja Divisional League to get to the Nationwide League One Division Three and then getting to the playoffs which earned them a spot in the NLO 2 and this pleased their president and coach of the side as well, Nigerian ex-international goalkeeper David Dosu who is also vying for the position of the Lagos State Coaches Association Chairman. They also have a team participating in the Social Liga League as well as their female team preparing for the Women’s National League.
