National Tennis Coach Benson Isichieli has dropped the biggest hint yet about the selection process for the Country’s Davis Cup campaign this year.
In a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comthe Coach said, the national ranking has always been the key, with player’s form and season’s record also taken into cognizance.
‘Mostly we always look at the top 8, we select from the top 8 and we’ve never made an error in our judgment; it has been perfect, because we take the best of the best.

‘Most times after looking at the top 8; it could be 1 to 4 or 6, we check their fitness levels and record for the year. Mostly we judge from the local competitions we have.’
