Dennerby reveals final world cup squad selection headache

Super Falcons’ coach, Thomas Dennerby has declared that despite the fact that there are lots of talented players in the super Falcons’ camp, he would still have to go through the pains of selecting just 23 for the world cup.
Speaking with brila.net, the 59 years old Swedish tactician hailed the quality of players he has assembled both homebased and foreign based but stated clearly that the coaching crew will go with just 23 as required by FIFA.
“Of course we have a lot of talents here with great technical skills but in the end, we can only pick 23 players for the World Cup that the technical crew and I think will give us success in France”, he stated.
The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held in France from June 7 to July 7 and the Nigerian team will be hoping to to reenact the feat achieved 20 years ago when they got as far as the quarter-final stage. Nigeria is housed in Group A alongside host nation, France, South Korea and Norway.
