Dessers dreams Super Eagles’ partnership with Osimhen

Heracles striker Cyriel Dessers revealed he is delighted to pledge his international future to Nigeria and also spoken of his admiration for Victor Osimhen.

Dessers decided to represent Nigeria ahead of the country of his father, Belgium, and was due to make his debut for the Super Eagles in 2021 African cup of Nations qualifiers tie against Sierra Leone back in March, but the game was postponed due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Dessers who finished as top scorer in the 2019/2020 Eredivisie season is adamant that he will fit into Super Eagles perfectly and hope the team can help him adapt.

“It’s a young team, a lot of players are playing in Europe, so I think the adjustment will be easy and I hope they accept me on the team,” Dessers told BBC.

The 25-year-old who is also expected to fight for his place in the star-studded Super Eagles attack, added that he can’t wait wait to meet the golden boy of Nigeria Football, Victor Osimhen.

“I look forward to seeing Victor Osimhen. I watch football and strikers a lot, and I think he’s great. I hope I can help and support him.”

Dessers shared the top scorer award in the Dutch Eredivisie after netting 15 goals and he has been linked with a move to bigger clubs in Europe top divisions.
