Difficult for Home-based Goalkeepers to break into Super Eagles – Agu

Super Eagles Coach Alloy Agu has finally admitted that it is very difficult to select a National team goalkeeper for the Super Eagles from the Nigeria professional football league.

Speaking to brila.net, the former goalkeeper disclosed that, very soon the list of players to play the Brazil friendly will be out but the home based players might not be included since the league is not active at the moment.
”It will be difficult to get a player from the league when it’s still not on, Alloy told brila.net.
“We are looking at players within and outside the country for good players in respective of where you plying your football as long as you are a Nigerian, you are eligible to play for the Super Eagles team.
”What we need is for players to come in an make an impact it does not matter where the players play from, Alloy Agu emphasized.
“But for the home-based professionals, It will be a bit difficult to pick them since their league is on break.
