Following his refusal to be admitted into the DSS hospital in Abuja, the police force headquarters, Sunday, returned Senator Dino Melaye to the office of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), at Guzape, Abuja.
Melaye, who was referred to the DSS medical facility located along the Abuja international airport road last Friday after he complained that he was not feeling well, however, refused to to be admitted into the hospital for fear of being injected with poisonous substances.
Rather, he opted to sleep in the open compound, which did not go down well with the management of the hospital who demanded that he be relocated.
This is the third time the Kogi senator is being transferred since he surrendered himself to the police who laid siege to his home for eight days.

Force public relations officer, Jimoh Moshood, denied speculations that the police were deliberately holding Melaye to prevent him from contesting the senatorial election in his zone.
Jimoh said, “It is not true that we are holding him because we don’t want him to contest.
“The truth is that it is not the police that is holding him, it is the law that is holding him.”
The force spokesman, who also confirmed the relocation of Melaye, insisted that the senator was hale and hearty and fit to stand trial, which would take place any moment from now.

“Based in his complaint, we took him to the DSS hospital on Friday but he refused to enter but preferred to sleep outside to prove that he is healthy.
“And since he has refused to be admitted there, he has been taken to detention at the IRT office and we have 14 days’ warrant. He will be taken to court within the 14 days period.”
