Dreams come true – Chukwueze revels after Man of the Match performance

Super Eagles player Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his delight after he was named Man of the Match in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over South Africa.

Aside from getting Super Eagles’ first goal, the youngster who became 2019 Afcon’s youngest goalscorer put up a stout attacking display against Stuart Baxter’s men.

Also, yesterday’s strike was the Villarreal man’s first senior international goal and he has acknowledged in a chat with www.Cornerstonenewsng.comthat it as a dream come true.

“Am so happy winning the game because they are a team that defeated the host country, Egypt. It wasn’t an easy game to win as we had to work hard, with everyone doing their job on the field”.

Nigeria have qualified in nine of their 10 quarterfinal appearances at Afcon. Also, they have won their three encounters against South Africa in the championship’s history.
