Captain of Nigeria’s basketball national team Ike Diogu has stated that D’Tigers strength lies in the team’s collective ability as the team continue to intensify preparation ahead of the fast approaching FIBA world cup in China.
Diogu speaking in a chat with brila.net upon arrival in China where they are expected go play three test games in an invitational tourney said the team may not have world class individuals but have players with good enough potentials who are exposed enough having played in the NBA and in Europe and together form a formidable side that is good enough to face any opposition.
“We just have to make sure we play as a team, really that’s the name of the game. Individually we are not as good as some but you know we have a good collection of NBA talent and oversees high level of Europe talents.
So we just have to play collectively as a group and I think we should be fine against everybody else.”
