National team players and U23 defender Ebube Duru has revealed that the battle to make the final cut to the fast approaching U23 AFCON in Egypt has been tough with everyone working hard go be considered.
Duru speaking in a chat with brila.net said the intensity of the team’s preparation has been high lately as the competition draws nearer. He added that it’s been a battle of wits and performance as players try to outwit each other.
“So now is everybody fighting for his shirt. Everybody is trying to give their best so that they will make the list that will be going for the Nations cup. And you know the preparation has been so tight and strong, the intensity of the training has become high and so everyone want to show that they have what it take to represent the country at such a high level. So it’s a big challenge to everyone in the camp.”
