Eaglets coach Garba blames profligacy on teams semi final defeat

Coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Manu Garba has attributed his team semi-final elimination on the inability of his boys to convert scoring chances which came their way in the course of the game.

Garba it was gathered by www.brila.net speaking after the game said his team should really have won before the game dragged to penalty shootout session based on the opportunities they had in the game.
Garba also highlighted the physical nature of the Guineans as another factor which made life tough for his players to cope with.
“First I congratulate my colleague for the victory but even in defeat, we lost gallantly despite the fact that the Guineans were bigger than my boys.
They used their physical presence to intimidate my boys but we gave a good account of ourselves.
We created Ten more chances than the Guineans, we were just unlucky not to qualify and win the game during the regulation time but the ultimate is the world cup spot which we have done. So congratulations to the Guineans.”
Nigeria next faces Angola in the third-place game on Saturday just before the final game on Sunday.
