Lobi Stars of Makurdi defender Ebube Duru is convinced that Coach Gbenga Ogunbote is the right man to lead the Club into the new 2019/2020 Nigeria football league season.
Ogunbote was hired as the permanent replacement for late Coach Solomon Ogbeide, who died in the middle of last season.
Late Solomon Ogbeide was the man who sanctioned Duru’s move to the pride of Benue back in 2017 and made him a key member of the sqaud and the player has not looked back ever since.
The left back however told Cornerstonenewsng.comin a exclusive interview that Ogunbote is similar to Ogbeide in the way he handle the players.
“Coach Gbenga Ogunbote is a wonderful man he reminds me so much about late coach Solomon Ogbeide, he’s so friendly to the players , has good relationships and interactions with his players and above all very hardworking and prayerful coach.” Duru said.
The Dream Team VII believed playing under Ogunbote who led Rangers international to 2018 Aiteo Cup glory will help take his game to greater level.
“I’m sure playing under him will help improve my game and bring more value and victory to the Club”.
Lobi Stars are currently enjoying good run of form under Ogunbote, winning two of their three games in the 2019/2020 Nigeria professional football league season.
