Eguavoen lauds Rohr’s provisional AFCON squad list

Former Super Eagles captain, Augustine Eguavoen has hailed the provisional list of players drafted by coach Gernot Rohr as the countdown to the AFCON 2019 in Egypt continues.

Speaking with brila.net, Eguavoen noted that the list has depth and quality which are key elements to a successful campaign at the Nations Cup.
“The list is okay, there are very young players there and experienced ones as well. Mikel, Musa and the likes are experienced. We also have the likes of Chukwueze who are really young”, he wrapped.
Coach Gernot Rohr on Tuesday listed midfield veteran Mikel John Obi and pacy winger Ahmed Musa in a 25-man squad to prepare for the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt. Six other players are on standby.
