Eid-El-Kabir: Osahon Greets Muslims Urges Football Stakeholders To Adhere Covid-19 Guidelines

As Muslims all over the world are preparing to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir tomorrow, chairman of FC Robo Queens of Lagos, Emmanuel Osahon has urged the football stakeholders to calm down and adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines recommended by the government.

Osahon made the appeal in his message to Muslim and non-muslim football stakeholders ahead of the Eid Kabir celebration.
The Edo born football administrator who has felicitated with Muslims in Lagos and Nigeria at large said this is not the time sport stakeholders should be fighting themselves over the continued closure of sports centres and urged them to abide by the COVID-19 safety protocols and guidelines laid down by the government.

Osahon said the stakeholders should use the period of Eid Kabir to move closer to God and pray against the pandemic disease that is ravaging the world.

“As we are preparing to celebrate the Sallah, we must observe all public health measures recommended by the authorities such as wearing facemasks and avoiding large gathering. I am using this medium to charge sports stakeholders to be prayerful so that the sporting activities would quickly return instead of fighting or arguing over the government directives. I also want to congratulate Muslims in Nigeria and all over the world as they are preparing to celebrate their Sallah. May Almighty Allah would give us good and sound health to see more of this celebration in years to come,” said Osahon who charged his players and fans to celebrate this Sallah in moderation.

Former stationery stores goalie commended Lagos State Football Association LSFA for its recent move to stop any football competition taking place in the state and supported the stakeholders who flaunted government directives to be punished accordingly.

“We cannot continue to work against government directives. We need to respect the law of the land and I am disappointed when I was told that some clubs are training while some organisers are staging a football tourney. It is sad because many of these stakeholders know the rules and they are the daring government. If the government takes action on any erring Stakeholders, such person should take it like that,” he said.
