Former Nigeria national team player Friday Ekpo has urged senior national team handler Gernot Rohr not to put pressure on a number of newly invited national team players ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against Ukraine.
Ekpo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the coach should endeavour to encourage players that will play and give more opportunities to truly get the best out of them so that the players are able to replicate the form that earned them national team call at club level on the international scene.
“The new ones invited should not be put under pressure to get a win at all cost. Because been invited to the national team and having opportunities to play is not easy because that place is like hot seat.”
