Enyimba 2-0 Kwara United: “Osho Ball” in Motion as Champions Record Fifth Straight Win

It seems nothing can go wrong again for Fatai Osho and his Enyimba side as they brushed aside Kwara United 2-0 in a rescheduled NPFL match on Wednesday.

Enyimba made it five wins out of their last five league matches and moved to within six points of league leaders Plateau United.

The champions have three matches outstanding in the league and seem to have found their bounce after early struggles, leading to the sack of Usman Abd’Allah as Head Coach.

Osho’s men have scored a staggering 12 goals in the five games, an impressive goals return by NPFL standards.

Stanley Dimgba scored in his fourth consecutive game, Victor Mbaoma in his third as their goals in the 5th and 85th minutes respectively helped Enyimba close out the week on a high.

Prior the game, Fisayo Dairo [NPFL] highlighted Osho’s impact on the team:

Osho, known as the ‘Sugar Ball’ exponent has not only instilled the free flowing attacking style in his team, he has also ensured that the reigning champions now have renewed hopes of landing a silverware this season.

The Coach explained his simple philosophy for getting the players to stay on their toes.

“That is one thing I make abundantly clear to the players; that anytime you go on the road and you get points, you must never go back home and lose it.

“It would amount to us doing nothing. So, that is the mentality in them and we want to see how much effort we can put in on Wednesday to secure maximum points.”

“There is what I call ‘group consistency’ now in the team with the fact that there are certain things we are doing in our training sessions and as a coach, it is your pride if you come to match situations and you see the players putting it to use. That shows that a lot of learning is taking place at the training sessions.

“This has translated to us winning games and we must ensure the winning mentality remains. We must see every match as a possible win for us and that’s what the boys are taking to these matches and I want it to continue that way,” said Osho.
