Enyimba International will battle fellow Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Abia Warriors in the finals of the Governor Ikpeazu Pre-season tournament.
The Imama Amapakabo managed Umuahia Warriors in the semi-final dumped out A&A 3-1 while the People’s Elephants pipped Plateau United 1-0.
Paul Samson put the Warriors ahead with a cool finish in the 10th minute of the game.
Lanky striker Tekena Garando doubled the lead before halftime.
The second half was even for both teams as they displayed the best of football artistry to the amusement of Aba fans.
As the second half clock ticked away, Nnamdi Anthony reduced the deficit for the Academy boys.
The A&A bench charged their boys to get the leveler and Bello Lukman then scored the goal that broke the camel’s back with a 75th-minute strike.
In the other semi-final game, Enyimba relied on the 69th strike from Cyril Olisema to defeat Plateau United 1-0.
The final will be held on Saturday at the Enyimba International Stadium.
