Coach of reigning Nigeria league champion, Enyimba Usman Abd’allah has revealed that the People’s Elephant latched on the inexperience of their opponent to record a 5-0 thrashing over the Burkinabes side.
Abdallah speaking in a chat with brila.net said Enyimba worked on the mistakes they committed in the first leg and a knowledge of the Burkinabes side from the first leg encounter gave them insight into the team and that was all they needed to know to turn the second game around against the young Rahimo side.
“We only regroup ourselves for less than 10 days before the trip to Ouagadougou and we came back from Ouagadougou and we knew our weaknesses.
So we worked on our weaknesses and we’ve seen the make of the team, they are young, vibrant team that lacked experience so we capitalised on that to our advantage and the most important thing is that we qualified.”
