Everton accepts AS Monaco’s £15m bid for Onyekuru

Super Eagles Forward Henry Onyekuru will be headed to France for a medical soon it appears, with the two clubs having decided a transfer fee.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton have agreed on a deal with Monaco over a permanent deal for the Nigerian international.

It is believed Onyekuru is still unable to obtain a work permit to play in the Premier League so the Toffees are ready to let him go permanently.

The good news is that they are expected to make a small profit on the £7m they paid KAS Eupen in that heady summer of 2017.

The 22-year-old was immediately loaned out to Anderlecht with the hope of gaining sufficient domestic and international experience to obtain a work permit further down the line.

Sadly, a knee injury cut short his time in Belgium but he recovered in time to head out on loan to Galatasaray last summer.

Onyekuru was a huge success in Turkey, hitting 14 goals to help the side win the league title.
